Hi guys, I have a very weird issue with my car, and I'm unable to resolve it. The car is Audi A4 Avant B8 , 2012, 2.0 TDI 177 bhp S-Line. It all started on one day when the car was parked outside and it was raining (not sure if that matters or not) - When I inserted the key and pressed it to start the car I got "Parking Brake Malfunction" with a beep and the engine wouldn't start.
Failure Date: 05/15/2020. Since day 1 of ownership 9/29/19 the 2019 Audi Q7 has had an intermittent electronic steering issue where steering automatically becomes heavier. This results in more effort to effectively steer the vehicle. Audi of beaverton or where the 2019 Q7 was purchased new has attempted to fix twice.
It excepted the recode and the engine began running much more smoothly and the vacuum pump stopped running full time but the fan continued to run. I cleared the DTCs and ran the test again and now I have a: Address 01: Engine Labels: 079-907-560-BAR.clb. Control Module Part Number: 4L0 910 560 C HW: 4L0 907 560 A.
Spark plugs or other components of the ignition system: If a car is misfiring, spark plugs are often the first component that should be inspected, especially if the misfires happen when the car is accelerating. Misfiring or other combustion issues are often caused by worn-out spark plugs, and replacing them is often inexpensive and easy.
It started out with just cold start misfires, I brought it to Audi and they said start with the valve cleaning treatment and if that doesn't work they would need to replace the injectors on #3 & 7. The valve cleaning solvent they used made no difference, I planned on doing a manual carbon cleaning and changing all 8 injectors myself.
dreadlocks (02-18-2020) Q7 MK 1 Discussion - Q7 Hard/Stiff Steering - Has anyone experienced this? It began yesterday when the morning temps hit in the mid 20's It has heated up since then but the Q7 still appears to be stiff.. More likely to observe this when the wheel is returning to its original position after a turning movement.
R0oster31. My 2011 Q7 wipers started by flashing a warning that my wipers were defective but would still function intermittently. Within 2 days they failed completely. I checked everything I could and it seemed to be the wiper motor. I replaced the motor and no longer get a warning but the wipers still do not function.
Eventually the shop foreman took an audio recording and sent to Audi. The Audi Powertrain team advised to replace the steering column intermediate shaft. I had to wait a while for the part but it eventually came in and much to my surprise the problem was solved. Just a heads up in case anyone else has a similar issue.
